The Circleville Turkey Trot

Circleville, OH

This year, the Circleville Turkey Trot will be a Virtual 5k race/walk.  We made the difficult decision to change it this year due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.  We hope to make it an in-person 5k in 2021.  The monies raised will support Pickaway United Pantries, a program of (PICCA) Pickaway County Community Action Organization.

The Circleville Turkey Trot was originally designed as Circleville's only 5k race taking place on the streets of downtown Circleville.  It is a fun 5k run/walk to raise money for the Fresh Produce Distribution Pantry through PICCA.  Your participation helps to ensure that other people have something to eat throughout the county.  We encourage you to go out on Thanksgiving morning and do something healthy prior to eating that large Thanksgiving meal!
The Fresh Produce Distribution Pantry started in 2016 through PICCA.  To date, the program has served over 38,000 individuals, connecting them to healthy, fresh produce.  The produce is received on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.  Produce is then divided amongst the food pantries throughout the county.
We will not be offering shirts this year since it is a virtual race being done on your own.

Registration is open!  Cost is only $15 to participate due to it being a virtual race.  The registration cost goes to support the Pickaway United Pantries program. Details on how to do the virtual portion follows in the FAQs.

What is a Virtual Race?
A Virtual Race is a race that you run at any time and any place that fits into your schedule.  The race can be be completed indoors or outdoors, in a park, on a track or trail, around your neighborhood or around your yard,  even on your treadmill.  Simply decide upon the distance of race you will participating in, use a device or app to keep track of your distance and time, then enter your finish time and any pictures you may have of yourself, friends and family either running or at your homemade finish line!  The results will be posted here on Its Your Race.  (See below)

Where do I run or walk?
Anywhere you want! The free IYR Virtual app tracks how far you've gone and instantly reports your time into results! You can run on a treadmill indoors, around your neighborhood, through the woods, on a path, in a park or if you want you can run house 100 times or however many times it takes to reach your distance! :)

How do I report my time?
You can do so easily from the new IYR Virtual app by logging in with the email you used to register for the race or you can track your time using another app, gps watch, treadmill or certified course and then just keep track of your time. From there you can just go to the Results page of this race from your phone, tablet or computer and enter your time.
